What is lipofilling or lipotransference?

Lipofilling is a precise remodeling of the silhouette with the patient’s own fat cells, in order to add volume to certain areas of the body such as breasts, buttocks or face.

What should you consider?

Lipofilling is the process of removing fatty tissue from the abdomen, buttocks, or other selected areas of the body, purifying it in a concentrated sample, and then injects it into the skin and deeper soft tissues using a 1 mm cannula.

Who is it for?

For patients with accumulation of localized fatty tissue and who wish to re-implant it in areas that have lost volume, such as buttock, chest or face.

Surgical technique

After a liposuction, fatty tissue is removed from the abdomen, buttocks, or other selected areas of the body. Then it’s purified in a concentrated sample, in order to be injected into the skin and deeper soft tissues using a 1-mm cannula. There, new blood vessels will be developed and will transport oxygen to the transplanted fat cells. In this process 50% of the fat cells won’t survive, and for this reason the lipofilling is often repeated two or three times in order to achieve the best result.
