What is reduction mammoplasty?

Reduction mammoplasty is a surgery that corrects the volume increase of the breasts above normal proportions. Reducing the glands, the fatty tissue and the skin that surrounds them will result in smaller, tighter and more harmonized breasts.

What should you consider?

  • This intervention is not practiced until the breast is fully developed, generally younger patients must wait at least 18 to be operated. Unless the breasts are causing serious physical problems.
  • The best candidates are those women who are psychologically mature enough to understand the procedure, with realistic expectations about the results.
  • Intervention is not advised for women who are breastfeeding their children.

Who is it for?

  • Young people (+18) who are overweight and have an excessive breast volume that affects them in their daily activities. This causes them severe problems and makes impossible for them to practice sports or routine activities.
  • Women of any age suffering from dermatitis in the area of the breast groove. Especially in summer due to the weight of the chest.

  • After several pregnancies, x weight changes (weight gain), hormonal discharges and breastfeeding in children that has caused the breast drop.
